Music enriches our lives.  Yet excellent music is not only an end in itself, but also a means to achieve community enrichment, student achievement and diversity. The Grammy-nominated Grand Rapids Symphony achieves this through a variety of different concerts, educational programs and special events, which reach more than 170,000 people each year.

Concerts:  the Symphony offers eight concert series throughout the year, delighting children, families and adults with a wide-ranging repertoire from classical to casual to the ever-popular Picnic Pops.

Education:  the Grand Rapids Symphony has spent more than 25 years in partnership with schools in 15 West Michigan counties, sharing a music education curriculum that reaches over 70,000 students each year.

Economic Development:  the orchestra helps corporations attract and retain an experienced and knowledgeable workforce to assure that West Michigan maximizes its economic opportunities now and in the future.  Likewise, the Symphony’s 75 concerts generate related revenue for surrounding businesses.
